Job Description As a Security Officer - Retail Customer Service Patrol in Nottingham, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. Your role involves providing exceptional customer service, clear communication, and supporting a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and tenants. What You'll Do: Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity. Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel. Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials when required. Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations or medical situations. Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily activities and incidents. Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and site staff to promote a welcoming and secure environment for all patrons. Minimum Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
