Job Description As a Security Officer - Patrol Rounds in Rochester, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, maintain a highly visible presence, and support access control and visitor flow while documenting observations and responding to alarms and/or calls for assistance. You will deliver customer-focused service, communicate clearly with staff and guests, and use technology to complete reports. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location. Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns. Monitor access points and verify identification, badges, and/or visitor authorization in accordance with site policies, directing individuals to the appropriate departments or check-in areas. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or calls for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken per post orders. Complete detailed written reports and activity logs, communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts, and assist with incident follow-up as needed. Minimum Requirements: Possess a New York State Security Guard License. Customer service experience is preferred. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
