As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will report concerns clearly, assist staff and visitors with professional customer service, and respond to situations with calm communication and teamwork. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including building entrances, parking areas, and perimeter routes, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency services as needed. Control access points by monitoring doors, gates, and/or restricted areas, verifying authorization, and directing people to appropriate locations. Complete shift activity logs and incident reports, monitor alarms and/or surveillance systems when assigned, and escalate maintenance or security-related concerns through the chain of command. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
