Job Description As a Security Officer - Logistics Patrol Rounds in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. What You'll Do: Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at the location. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment. Monitor access points and observe activity in and around the logistics and distribution location, reporting any unusual circumstances to the appropriate personnel. Complete detailed reports and documentation related to security-related incidents, observations, and activities during patrols. Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and client personnel to address any security-related concerns or needs as they arise. Minimum Requirements: Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. A guard card or license is preferred. Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred. The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred. Experience with X-ray screening is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
