Job Description As a Security Officer - Healthcare Facility Patrols in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. This is a driving post, so you will use your valid driver's license to support patrols throughout the property. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of staff, patients, and visitors. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment. Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas, observing for any suspicious activity or policy violations. Document and report security-related incidents and unusual occurrences according to site procedures. Assist with access control, visitor management, and enforcing site-specific rules and regulations. Collaborate with medical staff and other personnel during emergency situations and/or drills to support established protocols. Provide visible presence and support to help to deter potential disruptions within the healthcare environment. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located. A valid New York State Security Guard License is required. At least 6 months of security-related experience is required. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
