Job Description As a Security Officer - Healthcare Campus Rounds in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a healthcare location, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, provide exceptional customer service, and offer clear communication to those you encounter. This is a driving post, requiring you to operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties, while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients, staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in a healthcare environment. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare locations. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the medical facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to assist in maintaining a secure environment for all individuals on site. Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations, medical emergencies, and/or disturbances. Document observations, incidents, and actions taken during patrols and report relevant information to Allied Universal management and site leadership. Maintain a visible presence to help to deter disruptive behavior and provide reassurance to those within the healthcare location. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located. A New York State Security Guard License is required. At least 6 months of security-related experience is required. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
