Job Description As a Security Officer - Government Patrol Coordinator in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff and visitors with courteous customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting of concerns. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or members of the public at a government location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken according to post orders. Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, entrances, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access points by observing pedestrian and vehicle traffic, verifying identification and/or visitor purpose when required, and directing individuals to appropriate areas. Complete routine reports and incident logs, communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision, and support basic crowd control during higher-traffic periods. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
