Job Description As a Security Officer - Distribution Screening Specialist in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting thorough screening procedures and monitoring assigned areas. Your presence and attention to detail contribute to a secure environment for staff and visitors. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Screen individuals, packages, and/or cargo entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location to help to deter prohibited items or unauthorized access. Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, as required by site procedures. Working environments and conditions may vary by location. Monitor and report any suspicious behavior or activity to the appropriate personnel. Maintain detailed and accurate records of screening activities and any incidents that occur during the shift. Collaborate with other Allied Universal team members to support the overall security-related objectives of the site. Minimum Requirements: At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. X-ray screening experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
