Job Description As a Security Officer - Commercial Patrol in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated commercial real estate locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your visible presence and attentive communication will foster a welcoming atmosphere for tenants and visitors. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license as you conduct routine patrols and support the overall well-being of the property. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the needs of the location. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior, adapting to various working environments and conditions as required by the location. Observe and report any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, presence of unauthorized individuals, or unusual occurrences. Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters. Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required by site procedures. Complete detailed and accurate incident and/or activity reports as directed by Allied Universal and site management. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Customer service experience is preferred. CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
