Job Description As a Security Officer - Chemical Driver in Michigan City, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a chemical or petrochemical location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with visitors and staff, and provide outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the chemical or petrochemical location. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location. Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and maintain a visible presence. Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards in and around the location, following Allied Universal protocols. Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site-specific guidelines. Communicate with site personnel and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters, incidents, or emergencies. Assist with emergency response efforts and coordinate with local authorities or site management as directed by Allied Universal protocols. Minimum Requirements: Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
