Job Description As a Security Officer - Building Entry Screening in Uniondale, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support smooth operations by screening employees, visitors, and deliveries, monitoring entry points, and documenting security-related activity. You will stay visible, communicate clearly with team members and site leadership, and respond to questions with strong customer service. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to facility staff, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at a logistics and distribution location. Screen employees, visitors, and deliveries for prohibited items using screening equipment and manual inspection methods as directed by post orders. Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, issuing and/or retrieving visitor credentials, and maintaining required logs and documentation. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and supporting emergency response activities per site procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, entrances, docks, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
