Job Description As a Security Officer - Night Foot Patrol in NEW YORK, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will observe, document, and communicate concerns, assist staff and visitors with clear directions and professional service, and support a dependable daily operation. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts and requesting law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed. Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, entrances, common areas and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site. Monitor access points and help to control entry by checking identification, following visitor management procedures and directing guests to appropriate service areas. Complete security-related reports and documentation, including incident reports, shift activity logs and observations, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management. Minimum Requirements: Possess a New York State Security Guard License. Have at least 1 year of security-related experience. Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED. Be at least 21 years of age. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
