Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Full-Time in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned financial institution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence for clients and visitors. You will conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible, and deliver outstanding customer service while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and integrity. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter of the financial institution location to help to deter unauthorized activity. Monitor for suspicious behavior and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel. Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors. Interact with employees, visitors, and/or customers in a professional manner while performing patrol duties. Follow all established procedures for access control and verification of individuals entering the premises. Assist law enforcement or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies at the location. Minimum Requirements: Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree. Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client. Be at least 21 years of age. An armed guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
