As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a strong and visible presence. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Monitor and control access to the premises, confirming identification and authorization as required. Remain alert and attentive to surroundings while on patrol and during all assigned duties. Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to established protocols. Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary. Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors. Adhere to all site-specific and Allied Universal policies and procedures, including those related to armed patrol operations. Minimum Requirements: At least 6 months of security-related experience is required. A guard card or license is preferred. An armed guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
