Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Plainfield, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As part of the Allied Universal team, you will help to deter security-related incidents and manage access control within a dynamic tech and media environment. Your role involves monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and providing outstanding customer service to all visitors and personnel. What You'll Do: Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vendors in accordance with site-specific procedures. Provide customer service by assisting individuals with directions, answering questions, and addressing concerns in a professional manner. Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help to deter unauthorized activities within the premises. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to observe for unusual activity or security-related concerns, adapting to the dynamic environment typical of a tech, media, and telecom location. Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or maintenance issues according to company and client protocols. Participate in emergency response activities as required, supporting Allied Universal's commitment to client service and operational continuity. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
