What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients, students, faculty, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment within the educational location. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings and surrounding perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activities and promote a welcoming atmosphere. Observe and report any unusual activities, security-related hazards, or property damage within the educational environment to the appropriate personnel. Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying identification, and/or providing directions as needed. Collaborate with campus staff and local authorities as required to address incidents or emergencies. Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols. Minimum Requirements: Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. A guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
