As an unarmed patrol officer, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and assist with access points and badge processes. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including baggage handling spaces, employee corridors, loading areas, and perimeter routes, noting and reporting unusual activity and/or conditions that may help to deter unwanted activity. Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or authorization as directed by post orders, and direct individuals to proper checkpoints or contacts. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, document events per policy, and notify appropriate personnel and/or public agency partners as required. Operate and/or observe surveillance systems, radio communications, and patrol activity logs, and complete daily reports and incident documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and location requirements. Minimum Requirements: A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred. Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
