As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the utility facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas as required by site protocols. Observe and report any irregularities, including suspicious persons, property damage, or unusual occurrences within the utility location. Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities. Collaborate closely with site personnel and local law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns. Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or alarms in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures. Minimum Requirements: Have at least one year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military roles. Possess a valid armed guard card or license. Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client. Be at least 21 years of age. Be familiar with access control or badge systems; this is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
