What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times. Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible presence. Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to assist in controlling access and observing for any suspicious behavior. Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual activity according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols. Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed during incidents or emergencies. Remain alert and attentive while on duty, adapting to changing situations and environments within the retail location. Minimum Requirements: Applicants must have at least 5 years of security-related experience or a combination of 3 or more years of law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree. An armed guard card or license is required. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
