What You'll Do: Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately during emergencies. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner to help maintain a secure environment. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store and surrounding areas to help to deter unwanted activity. Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, or other unwanted behaviors within the retail location. Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client contacts. Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to staff and shoppers. Follow all company protocols regarding the carrying and use of authorized firearms in accordance with post requirements. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 5 years of security-related experience or a combination of at least 3 years of law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree. Possess a valid armed guard card or license. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Hold a Level III armed certification if applying in Texas. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
