Join a team where your work directly strengthens some of the most important campaigns in the country. About Us Allied is the go-to platform for campaigns, SuperPACs, Democratic agencies, and buyers seeking premium ad inventory and unbeatable pricing in competitive, high-stakes races. Join us and help power the next wave of victories. Position Overview As a Business Development Associate, you’ll support Allied’s growth by identifying potential opportunities, helping manage relationships with political and advocacy organizations, and driving the success of our sales team throughout the full business development cycle. This client-facing sales role is ideal for someone with foundational experience in political campaigns, digital media, sales, or organizing — ready to build relationships, drive revenue, and take on increasing responsibility. You will collaborate closely with senior members of the business development, ads, and leadership teams, gaining exposure to high-level strategic conversations while developing your own pipeline management and client engagement skills. Key Responsibilities Research, identify, and qualify potential clients across political campaigns, advocacy groups, committees, and agencies. Collaborate with senior business development staff in outreach, meeting preparation, follow-ups, and relationship-building with key stakeholders. Strategize, author, and prepare tailored decks, proposals, and responses to client needs and RFPs. Help maintain a healthy sales pipeline by tracking outreach, monitoring opportunities, and updating CRM systems. Win and lead prospective client meetings, calls and presentations, taking notes, generating action items, and helping ensure a positive experience for prospects and clients. Monitor political and media industry trends to help identify new opportunities and inform the team’s prospecting strategy. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth experience and execution once clients engage with Allied. Track and report activity metrics to help inform team strategy and performance improvements. 1–3 years of experience in political campaigns, advocacy organizations, public affairs, digital media, or sales/BD roles. Experience in Democratic campaigns and media sales are both a major plus. Interest in sales, paid media, and business development — past exposure or success in these areas is a strong consideration. Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to help craft clear, compelling pitches and client materials. Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced campaign environment. Comfortable conducting outreach, following up with prospects, and representing Allied professionally. Collaborative mindset with a client-focused, problem-solving attitude. Familiarity with political cycles, campaign structures, or agency environments is a plus, but not required. High motivation to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility over time. Uncapped earning potential based on performance. Competitive salary and advantageous commission structure. Professional development opportunities spanning across the highest levels of politics, media, and public affairs. Dynamic and collaborative work environment with a supportive, fast-paced team that values innovation and excellence. The opportunity to contribute directly to Democratic campaigns and progressive initiatives, supporting their impact through strategic business development. This role can be hybrid or 100% remote, but access to Washington, DC is preferred. Work hours are consistently 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday - Friday, with the expectation that evening and weekend work will be required as necessary, particularly during busy seasons in the campaign cycle.
