1st shift 6 am-3:30 pm plus overtime $22.00/hr Mon- Fri and Sat when needed Position is in Itasca IL The Material Handler is responsible for safely handling and transporting clear coating materials throughout the facility. This includes moving heavy barrels from pallet to pallet, staging materials for production, and maintaining accurate inventory records using the SAP system. This role requires strict adherence to safety and handling procedures due to the nature of coating chemicals. Key Responsibilities • Safely operate a sit-down forklift to move, stack, and reposition barrels of clear coating materials. • Transfer barrels from pallet to pallet for staging, storage, or production use. • Perform all inventory transactions—receiving, material transfers, consumption posting, and adjustments—using the SAP system. • Ensure all coating materials are properly labeled, documented, and stored according to company and safety guidelines. • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory by performing cycle counts and verifying material quantities in SAP. • Inspect barrels for leaks, damage, or quality issues and report problems immediately. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe material-handling area, following chemical-handling safety protocols. • Support production by delivering materials to the required workstations in a timely manner. • Complete forklift inspections and follow all OSHA and company safety procedures.
