Job Title: Amazon Director of Sales – Film & Television (Physical & Digital) Location: Remote Department: Sales Reports To: VP of Sales Position Summary The Amazon Account Manager will lead the end-to-end management of both physical (DVD, Blu-ray, 4K) and digital (EST/TVOD) film and television businesses with Amazon. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, Amazon, this role is responsible for revenue growth, account strategy, operational execution, and relationship management across both channels. Partnering with brand, operations, marketing, finance, and supply chain, the Account Manager ensures seamless fulfillment, optimized placement, and profitable growth for all titles throughout their lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: 1. Account & Relationship Management • Serve as the primary point of contact for Amazon across physical and digital categories. • Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP) and regular business reviews, aligning on sales targets, promotional opportunities, and category growth. • Build strong relationships with Amazon vendor managers, digital category leads, and merchandising teams. • Advocate internally for Amazon’s priorities while positioning company content to maximize growth. 2. Title Strategy & Brand Collaboration • Partner with brand and content teams to define strategy for new releases and catalog across physical and digital. • Develop and execute pricing, promotional, and windowing strategies tailored to Amazon’s marketplace. • Coordinate marketing campaigns to secure premium placement on both Amazon.com and Amazon Prime Video storefronts. • Leverage category insights, competitive trends, and consumer data to guide title selection and lifecycle planning. 3. Sales & Revenue Growth • Deliver revenue, margin, and profitability targets for physical and digital accounts. • Optimize assortment, pre-order strategy, and catalog performance. • Drive incremental revenue through bundles, seasonal promotions, and curated campaigns. • Oversee trade spend and retail marketing investments, ensuring ROI and alignment with strategy. 4. Operations & Fulfillment • Oversee digital fulfillment: ensure timely and accurate delivery of assets, metadata, and pricing for EST titles. • Manage physical operations: forecast demand, monitor inventory availability, and resolve supply chain issues. • Reduce chargebacks, shortages, and compliance penalties across both channels. • Maintain release and promotional calendars for internal and external alignment. 5. Reporting & Performance Optimization • Analyze performance of both physical and digital businesses, identifying opportunities to improve sell-through, margin, and market share. • Provide actionable insights to brand, operations, and leadership based on sales, promotions, and competitor activity. • Track buy box performance, catalog integrity, and storefront placement. • Deliver regular account health updates, including risks, opportunities, and forward-looking strategies. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Media, or related field. MBA a plus. • 5–8 years of experience in account management, ideally with Amazon, digital media, or consumer packaged goods. • Strong knowledge of both physical media distribution and digital video (EST/TVOD) economics. • Proven track record of managing retailer relationships and delivering sales growth. • Excellent analytical skills with experience in forecasting, P&L management, and BI tools. • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple timelines and deliverables. • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
