Full Description

Position Details: An established industrial bakery is seeking an experienced Sanitation Team Lead to oversee the sanitation crew and ensure all equipment, production areas, and facilities meet strict food safety and cleanliness standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on sanitation experience, strong leadership skills, and familiarity with sanitation chemicals and food-industry regulations. Key Responsibilities: • Lead, train, and support the sanitation team during daily and deep-cleaning activities • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure all cleaning procedures are completed correctly and on time • Inspect equipment, production areas, and facility to ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and company sanitation standards • Assist with equipment disassembly/reassembly for cleaning; perform hands-on sanitizing as needed • Maintain sanitation logs, chemical usage records, and daily checklists • Ensure proper storage, handling, and use of cleaning chemicals and PPE • Coordinate with production and quality departments to address sanitation issues or corrective actions • Support continuous improvement and help train new team members Must-Have Skills & Experience: • 2–3 years of sanitation experience in food manufacturing (industrial bakery experience preferred) • Prior team lead or supervisory experience is strongly preferred • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, safety procedures, and sanitation equipment • Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations • Ability to work independently, lead a team, and manage workflow in a fast-paced environment • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills #AES3# We are an equal opportunity employer should you require special accommodation during the recruitment process, please let us know.
