Role Summary The Creative Intern, Video (Unpaid) is responsible for producing high-quality video content that supports the organization’s communication, marketing, and branding objectives. At a competent level, this role requires the ability to independently plan, shoot, and edit video projects while applying cinematic photography techniques and post-production workflows. The Creative Intern, Design (Unpaid) is responsible for creating visually compelling graphics and design assets that strengthen the organization’s brand across digital, social, and print platforms. At a competent level, this role independently develops layouts and designs while maintaining brand consistency and quality. The Creative Intern will be managed by the Director of Marketing and Creative. Essential Responsibilities • Independently film and produce professional-grade video content for digital, social, and internal communications. • Independently design graphics, layouts, and visual assets for digital and print campaigns. • Capture cinematic still photography and video, applying principles of composition, lighting, depth of field, and visual storytelling. • Shoot in log formats and perform color grading and post-production workflows. • Collaborate with internal teams to translate strategic goals into compelling visual narratives. • Ensure consistency with brand standards across all video content. • Develop visual systems, typography, and imagery that adhere to brand standards. • Collaborate with marketing, communications, and video teams to translate strategic goals into compelling visual narratives that create cohesive multi-platform campaigns. • Apply user-centered design principles to ensure visuals communicate messages effectively. • Manage multiple design projects from concept to final production. • Perform additional related duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications • Pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university in related fields • Competent proficiency in: Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Lightroom, and Multimedia Dreyfus Level 3 • Strong understanding of visual design principles, typography, and layout. • Ability to translate strategic goals into creative visual solutions independently, with guidance on complex projects. • Strong project management skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset. • Solid understanding of cinematic photography techniques and lighting setups. • Able to manage projects independently from concept to final delivery, with guidance for complex or high-stakes productions. WORK LOCATION This position is an unpaid internship; however, students will receive course credit. In this hybrid role, students can work remotely; however, some travel may be required to our network office in DTLA and to school sites across LA County.
