Active CHHA and CNA certifications and completion of a California Department of Health approved training program.
Job Summary: Performs personal care and assists the patient in activities of daily living under direction of a registered nurse. The Home Health Aide assignment shall be made in accordance to the Plan of Treatment. Qualifications: Completion of a California Department of Health approved training program as outlined in Section 74747 of Title 22 or its equivalent/ Job Knowledge: Responsibilities and Duties: • Assists patients with personal hygiene such as skin, mouth, hair care and bathing. • Assists patients in and out of bed and assists with ambulation. • Assists with prescribed exercises which patients and aides have been taught by appropriate health personnel. • Prepares meals, including therapeutic diets, and assists patients with eating. • Assists patients to the bathroom or in using commodes, bedpans or urinals. • Performs household services which will facilitate the patient’s self-care at home and are necessary to prevent or postpone institutionalization. • Assists patients with medications which are ordinarily self-administered. The home health aide shall not administer medications of any kind. • Reports changes in the patient’s condition and needs to the supervising nurse or therapist. • Completes records regarding services performed. • ****** MUST HAVE BOTH CHHA AND CNA CERTIFICATES ACTIVE ********* Job Type: Part-time Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week Benefits: • Flexible schedule Work Location: On the road
