Our client is focused on advancing large-scale digital infrastructure by securing and developing sites with dependable, scalable power. Role Summary: This individual will be responsible for shaping and delivering the power roadmap for a growing portfolio of data center sites. The role sits at the intersection of utilities, transmission networks, site development, and commercial energy strategy. Ideally, we are looking for a candidate located in Texas, but we are open to remote candidates with excellent experience. Core Responsibilities: • Develop and execute strategies to secure electrical capacity and interconnection approvals for new and existing site developments, coordinating closely with land and development partners to align site selection with available or expandable power infrastructure. • Manage the full lifecycle of load requests, including preliminary engineering, feasibility analysis, applications, submissions, and utility study phases, ensuring timelines, accuracy, and strategic alignment. • Interface with electric utilities, transmission operators, grid organizations, and other stakeholders throughout interconnection process, maintaining engagement with regulatory bodies to anticipate system changes and opportunities. • Identify, evaluate, and recommend power supply solutions, including grid expansions, transmission access, and private power options-while assessing fuel strategies for on-site or hybrid generation systems. • Negotiate commercial agreements related to power supply, interconnection, and fuel arrangements to optimize cost, reliability, and schedule outcomes. Background & Experience: • Bachelor’s degree • 3-7 years of relevant experience, preferably within data center, industrial, energy development, or large-load environments. • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage senior external stakeholders.
