Business Development Manager – Data Centers Take the Lead with Us in the Rapidly Expanding Data Center Market! Remote role with 60%+ travel across the continental U.S. Data centers are expanding at a historic pace, and the demand for reliable cooling infrastructure, high-performance components and specialty finishing has never been greater. If you want to be on the front end of that momentum and turn opportunity into awarded work, this Business Development Manager role is built for you. Backed by two established organizations, Allegheny Bradford Corporation (ABC) and Allegheny Surface Technology (AST), with more than 60 years of experience delivering engineered solutions and finishes in demanding, quality-driven environments…you’ll have the resources, credibility, and internal support to build fast and be successful. In this role, you’ll own full-cycle sales and business development to grow revenue in the data center market from prospecting and spec influence through quoting, negotiating, and closing awarded work. You’ll build relationships across the ecosystem…owners, developers, EPCs, general contractors, integrators, OEMs, and engineering/specification firms and will stay close to the action through frequent in-person meetings and site visits.You’ll run a disciplined plan, build and maintain a healthy pipeline, and consistently convert opportunities into booked revenue. You’ll represent a broad portfolio supporting data center cooling and critical infrastructure, including manifolds, fittings, heat exchangers, and filter housings, along with specialty surface processing services like pickling, citric/nitric passivation, mechanical polishing, and electropolishing (in-shop and field). You’ll connect our capabilities to customer needs and ROI, identify cross-sell opportunities, and keep opportunities moving with disciplined follow-up and strong pipeline management. To succeed here, you’ll need 5+ years of outside sales or business development experience in industrial, engineered products, and/or technical services, plus a track record of hitting growth targets. You’ll be comfortable navigating complex accounts, communicating with everyone from engineers to executive leadership, and running your territory independently with structure and urgency. Data center experience is a plus, but not required for the right person. This role offers a competitive base salary plus significant commission upside.
