POSITION SNAPSHOT: For our client, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced GM / Head of Operations to spearhead the launch and ongoing management of a new additive manufacturing production hub in Houston, Texas. This pivotal leadership role blends strategic oversight with hands-on execution, requiring the successful candidate to lead the facility setup, mobilize cross-functional teams, and ensure operational readiness. Reporting directly to the COO, the GM / Head of Operations will be responsible for aligning this facility's operations with the parent company’s standards, values, and strategic goals, ensuring seamless integration and consistency across global operations. The role demands a seasoned leader with a strong background in manufacturing or industrial engineering, ideally within the Oil & Gas, Defense, or Energy sectors. Key responsibilities include overseeing daily production operations, implementing performance monitoring systems, and driving continuous improvement across safety, quality, logistics, and maintenance. The candidate will also be tasked with recruiting and developing a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration. Strategic alignment with Parent Company operations will be critical, requiring close coordination to transfer knowledge, technology, and best practices effectively. Ideal candidates will bring over a decade of operational leadership experience, a deep understanding of metal additive manufacturing technologies (robotic welding, welding applicable as well) and a proven ability to scale teams and processes. A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business is required, with a master’s degree preferred.
