Bookkeeper and Office Manager Aldrich Construction Company is a well-established construction/engineering firm in Manchester, CT who seeks a bookkeeper. The quiet office environment is composed of three project managers and the bookkeeper. Other company personnel are at jobsites. The ideal candidate should have experience using QuickBooks, Excel and Microsoft Word and have an excellent math aptitude. Required Skills - Proficient in using QuickBooks - Honest person that is self-motivated, organized, and has an excellent work ethic - Polite and positive interpersonal skills - A willingness to be flexible and accept changing priorities - Proficient in math and experienced in accounting, payroll and general business finances (QuickBooks, Excel, Word and other MS Office programs) - Excellent typing skills Education/Background - College degree and/or 5 years’ experience in using QuickBooks, Excel and Word Programs Responsibilities - Manage the accounting records in QuickBooks. Process invoices, change orders, and check disbursements - Work with project managers - Complete weekly payroll and manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end taxes - Review bank statements and reconcile accounting records - Undertake other general tasks associated with running a small office. Hours - Minimum requirement of 20 hours per week up to full-time position. Ideal candidate would work a minimum of 4 days a week for 5 hours per day. Position is not remote. Pay and Benefit Package - Pay ranges from $25 to $30/hour. - Paid holidays, vacation, a fully funded pension plan and a generous bonus program. - The company does not offer healthcare.
