We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Director of Operations to join our growing team in the Chicago area. This role is ideal for a proactive leader who thrives in entrepreneurial environments and has a passion for operational excellence, business performance, and team leadership. Key Responsibilities • Lead and optimize day-to-day operational functions across the organization • Develop scalable systems and processes to support company growth • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, operational procedures, and quality controls • Analyze business performance metrics and operational KPIs to drive strategic decision-making • Partner cross-functionally with leadership to improve efficiency, profitability, and execution • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams with a strong culture of accountability • Identify operational challenges proactively and implement effective solutions • Support continuous improvement initiatives across operations, logistics, and customer experience • Qualifications • 5+ years of operations leadership experience, preferably within the food industry or food-related businesses • Strong understanding of food safety standards and operational compliance • Proven leadership and people management skills • Strong operational and strategic thinking capabilities • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment • Excellent business acumen and analytical skills • Experience using data and business analytics to improve operational performance • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate is: • Proactive and solutions-oriented • Comfortable working in a dynamic, growing business • Highly organized and execution-focused • Collaborative, hands-on, and adaptable • Passionate about building operational excellence and driving growth
