Full Description

Akido is rebuilding the healthcare experience from the ground up. Through early interventions designed around social determinants of health (SDoH), world-class care focused on chronic disease, and human-centered technology, we believe we can build a healthcare model that allows for all patients to live their fullest lives. We are a fast-growing, impact-focused, Y Combinator company created out of the University of Southern California's D-Health Lab with the idea that empowering government, healthcare, and nonprofit services with population-based data could help usher in a new era of preventive public health. Today we are building a full stack medical network that leverages our predictive capabilities to provide a frictionless experience for both our patients and care providers. The Opportunity Are you driven to build the systems that keep healthcare running seamlessly? As a Credentialing Supervisor, you'll lead our credentialing team to ensure providers are credentialed quickly and accurately — so patients always have uninterrupted access to care. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll streamline workflows, introduce new technology, and tackle complex challenges alongside clinical, operations, and payer relations teams. If you're energized by leading people, improving processes, and building a credentialing function that supports high-quality care, we'd love to meet you. What You'll Do • Lead, coach, and support a team of credentialing specialists to deliver accurate, timely, and compliant work. • Oversee credentialing, re-credentialing, and privileging processes to keep providers active and patient care uninterrupted. • Monitor application timelines to prevent delays and resolve escalated issues from staff, clinics, and providers. • Partner with operations, compliance, payer relations, and clinical leaders to align on provider onboarding and coverage needs. • Build, refine, and document SOPs and policies to streamline workflows and strengthen compliance. • Ensure compliance with the state, federal, and payer-specific credentialing requirements. • Act as the primary liaison for external partners, including payers, hospitals, and credentialing verification organizations. • Drive process improvement and automation initiatives, supporting system upgrades and special projects. Who You Are • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field (preferred). • 3+ years of experience in provider credentialing, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role (preferred). • Strong knowledge of NCQA standards, payer requirements, and credentialing best practices. • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to resolve escalated issues. • Proven ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment. • Exceptional organization skills, with sharp attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate cross-functionally and with external stakeholders. • Experience with credentialing software and databases (preferred). Benefits • Stock-options package • Health benefits include medical, dental and vision • 401K • Long-term disability • Unlimited PTO • Life insurance • Paid Leave Program Location & Specialties hiring: • This role is in-person in Pomona Valley with the opportunity to work remotely on a case-by-case basis Akido Labs, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer, and we encourage qualified applicants of every background, ability, and life experience to contact us about appropriate employment opportunities.
