Full Description

Overview Join a major New York City food rescue and distribution center as a repack distribution center associate. In this role, you direct repack and volunteer workflow, support warehouse administration, and help keep food moving safely and efficiently to community partners across the city. Daily tasks • Set up, support, and process daily repack projects for volunteers and staff • Provide administrative support to the warehouse team, including daily reports and deadlines • Load and unload trucks, pull product, and put product away as directed • Ship and receive product based on customer and agency orders accurately and on time • Inspect incoming goods for damage, document findings, and reconcile deliveries with bills of lading • Store product in the correct areas and manage inventory using FEFO (first expire, first out) when applicable • Use material handling equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, and reach trucks, to move product safely • Maintain warehouse sanitation and perform routine warehouse and grounds cleaning • Help keep inventory accurate, reconcile discrepancies, and update systems • Follow all AIB and OSHA standards and internal safety procedures Physical demands • Ability to lift more than 50 pounds regularly • Frequent standing and walking during the shift • Regular use of computers and other basic office equipment • Frequent bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and reaching • Regular work with and around cleaning chemicals • Willingness to work irregular hours as needed
