Oversee plant financial operations including cost control, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, inventory management, and compliance.
5-7 years manufacturing/plant accounting experience with senior-level cost or plant controller role, proficiency in ERP and Excel, and strong knowledge of costing, budgeting, and internal controls.
Reports To: Plant Manager Department: Manufacturing Key Responsibilities: • The Plant Controller must oversee plant-level financial operations, including cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly/quarterly close, capital expenditure analysis, and variance reporting. • Analyze manufacturing costs (labor, materials, overhead) to support efficiency and profitability. • The Plant Controller will collaborate with plant leadership on standard costing, yield analysis, and operational planning. • Manage inventory control processes, including cycle counts and reconciliations. • Maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and corporate policies. • Lead financial planning processes including annual operating plans and forecasts. • The Plant Controller will provide financial guidance for strategic decisions and process improvements. • Support audits, perform capital expenditure reviews, and identify financial risks/opportunities. Qualifications: • The Plant Controller must hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance • Must have 5–7 years of experience in manufacturing/plant accounting, with strong cost accounting and inventory control expertise • Must have been in a senior-level cost or plant controller designation. • The Plant Controller must have labor absorption accounting experience • Must be proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and analysis • Strong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting • The Plant Controller must have experience managing capital expenditure processes and post-investment reviews • Familiarity with inventory valuation methods (FIFO, LIFO) and reconciliation to general ledger • Proven ability to implement internal controls and ensure SOX or equivalent compliance BENEFITS: • Medical Insurance • Dental Insurance • Vision Insurance • Direct Hire • Paid time off • $100K-$125K/annum Ask for: Amrita Mukherjee
