Lead design, installation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of bakery manufacturing equipment and processes.
Engineering degree with management experience in baking manufacturing, strong mechanical and process engineering skills, and leadership of technical teams.
Responsibilities • The Chief Plant Engineer will lead the design, installation, and maintenance of bakery manufacturing equipment and processes. • Develop and optimize production layouts to improve efficiency and output. • Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives across plant operations. • The Chief Plant Engineer will troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and equipment issues through root cause analysis. • Maintain accurate technical documentation, including schematics and CAD drawings. • Oversee machinery installation, repair, and preventative maintenance activities. • The Chief Plant Engineer will train and mentor maintenance technicians on proper equipment operation and upkeep. • Stay current with industry technologies, automation systems, and best practices. Qualifications • The Chief Plant Engineer must hold an engineering degree • Must come from an Engineering Management background. • Must have prior experience in a baking manufacturing environment. • Strong knowledge of process engineering and mechanical systems. • The Chief Plant Engineer must be skilled in reading schematics, blueprints, and CAD drawings. • Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods. • Working knowledge of PLCs, robotics systems, and automation technologies. • Welding and mechanical assembly skills a plus. • Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage plant engineering functions effectively. • The Chief Plant Engineer must be flexible in shifts as per the needs of the plant.
