The Support Director is a full-time position responsible for directing and administering the operations and activities of support for AIS Healthcare’s Targeted Drug Delivery (TDD) services. Working through a management team and staff, the Support Director is responsible for providing guidance, leadership, and direction to all of those who are involved in activities driving the timely collections of accounts receivable to include Intake, Billing, Cash Posting, Document Management, Training and QA, to achieve cash collection goals in the most cost-effective manner. The Support Director is responsible for the oversight of day-to-day operational protocols and supervision of assigned personnel for the Financial Services department. The Support Director will have strong knowledge of all aspects of revenue cycle procedures, practices, and concepts, reporting and analysis of operational data, develop and measure performance goals and individual accountability. Manage the development of revenue cycle training initiatives, accountability for policy and procedures and organization of strategies to enhance and drive continuous process improvement. The Support Director works in a collaborative manner with departments interacting with both internal and external customers. The Support Director strives to meet and exceed the needs of its customers, demonstrates financial acumen, sets and achieves targets, and facilitates a collaborative team that provides a focus on accuracy and support. Additionally, the Support Director is responsible for mentoring and coaching to produce optimum work habits and achieve highest level of competency of leadership and staff. Education And Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field required. • Equivalent work experience may substitute college degree requirement. • Minimum of 5 years in revenue cycle management experience, required. • Experience in healthcare provider finance operations, required. • Knowledge of Federal regulatory guidelines Essential Duties And Responsibilties • Oversees the management operations of all support functions to the Financial Services departments, encompassing revenue cycle analysis, reporting and communication of key indicators related to accounts receivables, team performance and revenue cycle performance. This includes identifying and reporting information that puts the organization’s assets at risk. • Manages relations with payers and providers to result in high reimbursement rates and a low level of denials. • Ensures all responsible areas are compliant and responsive with the company's goal of continuous improvement of our revenue cycle. • Oversees and leads revenue cycle process improvement. • Working with leadership, coordinates, trains, and communicates system enhancements, policy, and standards. • Responsible for the generation of timely note entries that accurately reflect accounts receivable activity. • Oversees staff completion of all mandatory compliance and regulatory trainings. • Escalates any significant issues related to responsible departments, or payers to the Financial Services Sr. Director. • Stays abreast of regulatory requirements and monitors compliance with company policies and procedures, ensuring timely staff education on relevant changes and developments. • Communicates relevant changes and developments in payer requirements to staff. • Ensures quality review measurements are in place. • Facilitates the implementation and monitoring of standard policies, processes, reporting, and education programs. • Manages staff, providing recommendations for hiring, promotion, salary adjustment and personnel action to leadership when appropriate. • Identifies and implements process improvements to lower costs and improve services to internal and external customers. • Responsible for the development and retention of competent managers, supervisors and staff that align with the organization's objectives. • Provide leadership and support to supervisors ensuring they have a strong understanding of their roles and responsibilities and the proper skill set and training to succeed. • Performs and/or participates in projects, systems development, and other tasks as needed. • Shares knowledge gained with other staff members and works as a team member. • Interacts with others in a positive, respectful, and considerate manner. • Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Qualification Requirements • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and provide accurate information in a dynamic environment. • Ability to recognize, evaluate and exercise good judgment in solving complex situations and advising in accordance with laws and regulations. • Excellent verbal and written communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. • Strong work ethic with personal qualities of integrity and credibility. • Ability to deal with highly sensitive and confidential material, strong knowledge of HIPAA privacy guidelines and requirements. • Competence with ICD-9 and ICD-10. • Knowledge of medical terminology. • Ability to lead and direct a diverse department in an environment with frequent changes and priorities. • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers. • Self-directed, detail oriented, conscientious, organized, and able to follow through. • Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments to meet timelines. • Ability to deal in an organized manner with problems involving multiple variables within the scope of the position. • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant; make prompt and accurate judgments regarding front end and support operations. • Skill in developing, implementing, and administering work processes. • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other employees, patients, organizations, and the public. • Tolerant of frequent interruptions and distractions from staff and other internal support teams. • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. • Travel up to 25%.
