Airswift is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to work on an initial assignment with a major player in the energy sector. This role focuses on overseeing the design of Liquids Pump Station facilities for expansion and maintenance capital projects executed by third-party engineering firms. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with company standards, specifications, and industry regulations while managing project budgets and schedules. You will act as a liaison with functional groups within Project Execution, Operations, and Shared Services to incorporate all requirements into design deliverables. Responsibilities Ensure pump station facilities are designed in accordance with regulations, industry codes, and corporate standards. Manage execution of design deliverables by third-party engineering firms against project budget and schedule. Design electrical components and interconnects. Review and approve design deliverables such as drawings, technical reports, and material listing sheets. Participate in design review meetings with engineering firms, Project Managers, Operations, and Construction teams to discuss scope, design, performance, and constructability issues. Review vendor material quotations, prepare technical evaluations, and recommend selections based on technical merit, price, and delivery (e.g., pumps, motors, vessels, buildings, generators, pipe, valves, fittings). Identify and communicate lessons learned and quality incidents for assigned projects. Support department initiatives as required. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum of 4 years of industry experience. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and prioritize tasks. Strong problem-solving skills using standards, modifications, and prior experience. Effective communication of technical issues to technical and non-technical staff. Working Conditions 80% office-based work with multiple project teams. 20% fieldwork for scoping projects or supporting procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
