Assistant Project Manager – Brandon (Tampa), Florida AirQuest Environmental, Inc. is an environmental and industrial hygiene consulting firm that offers environmental services for both public and private sector clients at sites located throughout the United States and internationally. AirQuest specializes in providing services to the following sectors: asbestos and lead, moisture intrusion and mold, indoor air quality, radon and environmental. Position Expectations: The ideal candidate will have experience managing projects with cross-disciplinary scopes, utilizing collaborative communication to manage projects, clients and staff, along with a disciplined approach to budget management. Projects are often fast-paced and multi-faceted. The position will require the candidate to possess the ability to manage varying priorities and multiple work tasks on concurrent projects, while meeting project deadlines. Responsibilities • Assist in the development of strategy, scope of work, and budget for projects • Draft technical proposals including the development of project scopes and budgets • Draft detailed, technical reports with a focus on quality and accuracy while meeting client and regulatory objectives • Performs or manages the implementation of project work plans including scheduling • Provide work assignments to the field team • Conduct scientific field surveys for asbestos, lead and mold • Effectively communicate with clients, contractors, regulators and team members to keep projects aligned with approved scopes, schedules and budgets • Maintain overall project quality consistent with company and professional standards • Solve problems creatively and effectively and make informed decisions • Maintain field equipment inventory and calibration updates Position Information • Full-Time (40 hours) • Typical hours range from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM Monday-Friday. Additional hours are occasionally requested • Pay rates offered are contingent upon experience Requirements Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, environmental science, or related science field (required) • 1+ years of proven technical, environmental consulting experience • Proficient in Microsoft Office® applications • Good working knowledge of building systems • Valid driver’s license and a reliable means of transportation • Preferred but not required: Current certifications for asbestos, lead or mold • Preferred but not required: Experience with office management software such as Deltek Vantagepoint or similar platform • Ability to carry and use a ladder, use basic hand tools, lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and equipment necessary for a given project and must be able to wear required personal protective equipment such as hard hats, hearing protection, safety glasses, protective footwear, and additional safety equipment such as fall protection harnesses and others as required by a given task • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug test Benefits Benefits: • 401(k) & 401(k) Matching • Health Insurance - Humana • Health Insurance - Vision, Dental • Minimum 48 hours of PTO (paid Time Off) Guaranteed after 90 days • 7 Paid Holidays • Professional Development Assistance
