Bachelor's degree plus 3+ years related experience, project management skills, knowledge of product compliance regulations, and experience with compliance management service providers.
The Supply Procurement Compliance Specialist will work with customers, internal stakeholders, and third-party service providers to build and maintain systems, processes, databases, and control mechanisms to effectively address various part and process attributes such as restricted substances, recycled content, PFAs, supplier onboarding, and other customer-specific requirements. Success in this role involves efficient intake of requests, cross-functional collaboration, an ability to prioritize critical customer questions, and baseline familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements pertaining to product certifications and declarations. Compliance-minded, accurate, detail-oriented candidates who can work in a fast-paced environment are desirable. Familiarity with third-party risk management workstreams would be beneficial. How you will do it • Work with third party service providers to ensure an accurate database that efficiently facilitates compliance assessments and audit responses. • Assist with key supplier issue resolution and risk mitigation as an escalation to the third-party database manager, as required. • Work with procurement buyers to ensure supplier onboarding and ongoing due diligence complies with ADTi policy and applicable law. • Act as the corporate representative and manage communications (to include certification and declaration) with customers, third party service providers, and internal stakeholders. • Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with cross-functional internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential procurement and supply chain compliance risks. • Establish and deploy internal training programs supporting relevant product-focused procurement policies and procedures, ensuring key stakeholders, including supply chain, procurement, logistics, and legal teams, are educated about key risks, applicable regulations, and requirements. • Track and analyze regulatory intelligence and related news in the Regulatory and Material Compliance space to identify trends and recommend program adjustments. • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of industry best practices and guidelines for maintaining and certifying products compliance. • Document, review, and improve current processes around request intake and conformance certification. Develop and implement new or enhanced policies and procedures as necessary. • Lead improvement and maintenance of product compliance systems and tools. Liaison with technology vendors to enhance capabilities as needed. • Develop metrics, tools and reporting mechanisms to communicate, analyze, and report on procurement compliance to relevant leaders and other stakeholders. What we look for • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university is required. • 3+ years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. • Significant project management experience, as well as advanced verbal and written communication skills are required. • Ability to perform in a diverse and matrixed organization. • Ability to work with all levels of management. • Prior experience with product compliance management service providers, Assent or similar. • Knowledge of domestic and international regulatory and compliance requirements related to product certification, and their individual declaration requirements. • Exposure to trade compliance programs, RoHS, REACH, supply chain management, procurement processes, and/or logistics.
