The role ensures secure access management, compliance with security policies, and efficient support for mainframe operations. The engineer will work closely with infrastructure, audit, and application teams to maintain a secure and stable mainframe environment. Key Responsibilities: • Administer RACF user IDs, groups, roles, and resource permissions. • Manage RACF database updates, rule changes, and security configurations. • Analyze and monitor RACF logs, SMF records, and security alerts. • Support internal and external audits by providing RACF reports and evidence. • Troubleshoot RACF-related access issues and provide technical guidance. • Conduct RACF health checks and ensure adherence to security best practices. • Create and maintain security documentation, standards, and procedures. • Work with teams on z/OS upgrades, patching, and RACF migration projects. • Implement and manage digital certificates and security keys on the mainframe. • Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to resolve security concerns. Required Skills & Experience: • Strong experience with IBM z/OS, RACF, TSO/ISPF, and JCL. • Solid understanding of mainframe security concepts, access control, and SMF. • Proficiency with RACF utilities (IRRDBU00, RLIST, RVARY, RDEFINE, etc.). • Experience analyzing RACF reports, SMF records, and audit logs. • Working knowledge of security compliance frameworks (SOX, PCI, ISO27001). • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
