AI-Powered Women is Scaling FAST: We're looking to onboard a talented volunteer/intern who can grow with the company into a paid position. We are currently the largest women's AI conference on Planet Earth. We've built something extraordinary — from our MIT-anchored conference and Human-Centered AI Certification to a fast-growing global Academy. Because we’re building something fast-paced and high-impact, we need the right person — someone who is not only smart and dependable but eager to learn, take initiative, and grow alongside our team. This role will begin with an unpaid trial phase to ensure it’s a strong mutual fit before transitioning into a paid position. You’ll help support our Academy community (live sessions daily at 12pm EST), customer success, and social media engagement, ensuring every member feels supported, inspired, and connected. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to gain hands-on experience in community management, customer engagement, and digital marketing—or someone later in their career who wants to contribute to a high impact mission and growing community at the intersection of AI, women’s leadership, and human transformation. Location: Remote (Boston-based team on EST timezone, global community) Commitment: Part-time (~15 hours/week to start) Compensation: Volunteer or internship during initial trial (typically 6–8 weeks) with potential to transition to a paid hourly role based on performance and funding. Reports To: Community & Content Strategy Director RESPONSIBILITIES: Community & Customer Success • Help support live engagement & Q&A on our academy calls at 12pm EST • Welcome new Academy members and ensure they have a smooth onboarding experience. • Foster conversation and engagement in our online community (Slack, Kajabi, and social platforms). Social Media & Communications • Help mange our content calendar across social media that highlights Academy programming, speakers, and member spotlights. • Support social campaigns tied to live events, certification milestones, or community wins. Operational Support • Help track attendance, engagement, and post-event follow-ups. • Assist in maintaining the community calendar and updating resources in the member portal. • Brainstorm and implement creative ways to grow engagement, retention, and visibility. You think creatively, act independently, and bring fresh ideas to the table. • Sharp and analytical: You’re a strong thinker who can connect dots, synthesize information, and communicate insights clearly. • A strong, reliable communicator: You’re responsive on Slack, meet deadlines, and share updates without needing reminders. • Organized and self-directed: You manage multiple tasks effectively and follow through with precision. • Curious and fast-learning: You’re eager to explore AI tools, Kajabi, Slack, and other platforms, and you can teach yourself new skills as needed. • Mission-aligned: You care deeply about women’s empowerment, conscious leadership, and building communities that elevate human potential. Not a good fit if: • You need constant direction or struggle to self-manage. • You’re uncomfortable speaking up, asking clarifying questions, or sharing ideas. • You often miss deadlines or take days to respond to messages. • You’re looking for an easy or slow-paced role. Academic & Work Requirements if you're a student: • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a high school or college honors or advanced program with a strong academic record (please include your current GPA, transcript, or a sample of academic or project workwith your application). • Demonstrated writing or project experience showing analytical thinking, clear communication, and follow-through. Bonus: Prior experience with community management, content creation, or event coordination. HOW THE TRIAL WORKS We begin with a 6–8-week volunteer or internship trial phase, during which you’ll receive mentorship and gain experience across community engagement, communications, and operations. After the trial, high-performing interns will be invited to continue in a paid hourly or retainer role, depending on funding and fit. (This structure is common in unfunded early-stage startups and nonprofit ecosystems where mutual fit and mission alignment are key before committing to paid positions.)
