Master’s degree, 15+ years relevant experience including 7–10 years retail program management, Agile/Scrum certification, and preferred PMP/OCM certifications.
The Principal Portfolio Program Manager leads large, multi-year strategic programs focused on evolving and scaling consumer experience within the Omnichannel Retail portfolio. This role is responsible for strategy formation, process definition, organization design, and technology delivery. The position plays a critical role in driving cross-functional alignment, ensuring stakeholder needs are met, and delivering industry-leading solutions that enhance both customer and employee experiences. Key Responsibilities: • Provide strategic thought leadership in Omnichannel Retail and Marketing. • Lead all program management activities across business and technology teams, including planning, execution, and delivery. • Own program planning across multiple portfolios, including prioritization, estimation, budgeting, and goal setting. • Drive transformation and change management in partnership with executive leadership. • Facilitate executive-level planning, prioritization, and status updates across stakeholders. • Manage program risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints, ensuring proactive solutions. • Define stakeholder engagement plans and manage stakeholder expectations. • Lead large cross-functional teams, ensuring the right resources are deployed and supported. • Oversee program reporting, reviews, and assurance processes to ensure confidence in delivery. • Support strategic planning activities across product and technology portfolios. • Ensure program benefits are clearly defined, tracked, and realized. • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and agile practices. Minimum Education & Experience Requirements: • Master’s Degree required (MBA, Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or related field). • 15+ years of relevant work experience. • 7–10 years’ experience in retail program management. • 7–10 years’ experience with agile development and deployment practices, including agile tools and methodologies. • 5–7 years of experience in or exposure to MarTech environments. Special Requirements: • Agile/Scrum certification required. • OCM or CCMP certification (preferred). • PMP certification (preferred). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Expertise in leading large-scale, multi-year retail and technology programs. • Strong understanding of agile practices, program governance, and portfolio management. • Proven ability to manage large budgets, cross-functional teams, and complex stakeholder environments. • Excellent communication, presentation, and executive facilitation skills. • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational leadership abilities. • Proficiency in agile program management tools (e.g., Jira, Rally, or similar). Additional Desired Characteristics: • Experience in change management and transformation initiatives. • Strong track record in talent development and coaching. • Demonstrated ability to foster innovation and drive continuous improvement. Work Environment: • Remote position with occasional travel to regional offices or key stakeholder meetings. • Flexibility in hours may be required to support global or cross-regional teams.
