Job Description Where will your project management and technical leadership skills not only make an impact, but also develop even further? Right here, where you will lead or assist with the end to end delivery of large customer laboratory projects as part of an outstanding team! You will deliver ‘hands-on’ work at customer sites, building and delivering solutions to impact client needs. In this role, the project manager supports the sale and handles the solution design/development of large integrated service projects to external customers; often involving multi-function and multi-vendor efforts. These projects can include, but are not limited to asset management program assistance, relocation of customer assets, facility inventories, and other projects as identified. The Project Manager will assist with resolving the overall project plan, budget, structure, schedule, and staffing requirements. You will assist our external customers in the definition and implementation of complex integrated solutions requiring CrossLab services. You'll be responsible for assisting in the pricing of customized solutions and ensuring implementation or delivery within specified goals. It is important that this Project Manager can build and maintain client and delivery partner relationships while coordinating with project team members. This is a hands-on working position where you are an active part of the project delivery. Our ideal candidate enjoys working face to face with customers, works well leading others and has a strong attention to detail. The Ideal Candidate: Can demonstrate a commitment to industry accepted project management processes, practices, tools, and behaviors with a proven track record of project participation or management. Can assist with 3rd Party vendors on-boarding and contracting for assigned projects. Detail oriented and capable of multi-tasking. Can be mobile at customer site for up to 8 hours with limited breaks. Can communicate effectively, lead meetings, and maintain documentation that is shared with customers, sales, and management. Can adapt to change and make tough trade-offs when vital-- within a timeline, project or needs of the department. Works well in diverse teams while being willing and able to make course corrections if one path isn't working. Has the core values of Trust, Respect, Integrity, and Teamwork and is accountable for their actions. Familiarity with facility construction and PMP certification preferred. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field required; may consider applicants with other related university degree and/or equivalent combination of education, training and hands-on experience PMP certification is preferred 8+ years relevant work experience with 5+ years of customer-facing field project management Training in Project Management (PM) methodologies or equivalent experience and demonstrated PM concepts and tools Effective collaboration skills Experience working with external customers Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience using relational database knowledge using ad-hoc reporting tools to extract data and create and analyze custom reports Ability and willingness for overnight travel. While some work may be in the local area and home office other project locations may require extensive travel (50+%) Preferred skills: Laboratory technical experience or laboratory instrument service and maintenance experience preferred Basic GMP and GLP experience a plus Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred Proficient at managing projects budgets including obtaining quotes, purchase orders and reconciling invoices Experience collaborating with 3rd party service providers Lean Six Sigma background preferred Familiarity with the following software is required - Microsoft office (Excel / Word / Share Point). Additional software such as Maximo, SAP, or other data management software, MS Project, Visio, Smart Sheet or other project management software knowledge is desired Additional Details This job has a full time weekly schedule. The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $116,800.00 - $182,500.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
