Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest. As a Product Marketing Lead, you’ll play a strategic and hands-on role in shaping how customers experience Affirm’s products. You'll help define our customer strategy, lead high-impact go-to-market initiatives, and develop compelling narratives that drive business outcomes. This role has full ownership of high-impact initiatives, operates with self-initiative, manages multiple stakeholders, and resolves complex challenges. You will shape product and marketing strategies through deep insights and cross-functional alignment, delivering results at a functional level. What You’ll Do: Lead Go-to-Market Strategy and Execution: Own the strategy and execution end-to-end. Effectively navigating moderate-to-high levels of ambiguity, requiring minimal input. Leverage customer research, competitive intelligence, and market trends to inform strategy, execution and strategic prioritization. Drive Effective Comms Strategy: Build the consumer facing communication strategy that taps into rich insights to inform both product and partner execution. Test, track and optimize communication strategies to inform future executions. Influence decision-making through customer and merchant partner insights. Operate with Agility and Drive Execution: Navigate ambiguity with confidence and bring clarity to complex, cross-functional projects. Manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously, anticipate risks, and maintain momentum through thoughtful planning and execution. Identify and evaluate trade-offs to recommend solutions that balance short-term impact and long-term strategic value. Use Data to Inform Execution: Advocate for customer pain points and opportunities at key decision-making forums. Develop frameworks for how teams use customer data to drive actionable decisions. Translate business goals into actionable strategies for product marketing and go-to-market initiatives. Leverage Business and Product Acumen: Develop a nuanced understanding of the Affirm ecosystem, as well as the revenue and cost drivers that impact marketing and product performance. Use this knowledge to own the success metrics for your partnership focused area, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Collaborate across Teams to Drive Alignment: Proactively identify and mitigate risks caused by shifting priorities or unclear requirements. Build strong relationships across Partner, Merchant, Product, Sales, Customer Success, Analytics, and other key teams. Be a Culture Carrier: Serve as a champion of Affirm’s values and culture, consistently fostering collaboration, transparency, and innovation within the team and across the organization. Lead by example in creating an inclusive and growth-oriented environment, promoting open communication, and encouraging others to take risks and innovate. What We’re Looking For: 5-7 years of experience in product marketing, or a similar role, ideally in a Payments or Fintech environment. Proven track record of leading partnership strategy and communication alongside product launches and GTM strategy that delivers business results. Highly analytical mindset—confident with data and able to extract insights that influence partnership communication and marketing strategies. Constantly leveraging data to optimize product performance and user engagement. Confident cross functional team leader who is able to manage multiple relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive the marketing communication strategy forward with multiple team’s buy-in. Experience navigating ambiguity and driving alignment in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities. Proactively identifies areas for improvement in team deliverables, processes, or strategy and implements solutions. Champions innovation by experimenting with new approaches and sharing learnings with the team. Excellent communicator and storyteller, with the ability to simplify complex ideas for a wide range of audiences. Experience working with in-house designers and content developers to drive flawless execution in both design and copy communication. Work to tie customer facing communication together across multiple touchpoints with one cohesive strategy. Campaign development leader with the ability to pull insights from customer data and build an effective campaign with multiple communication touchpoints. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, brings creativity and analytical rigor to problem-solving, and is passionate about transforming the way people access credit. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Pay Grade - K Equity Grade - 6 Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills. Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents.) USA base pay range (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT) per year: $140,000 - 190,000 USA base pay range (all other U.S. states) per year: $124,000 - 174,000 #LI-Remote Affirm is proud to be a remote-first company!
