Product Manager – AFCO Industries Alexandria, LA (Remote Hybrid) AFCO Industries, a domestic manufacturer of aluminum, PVC, and fiberglass building products, is seeking an experienced Product Manager to help drive the strategy, growth, and lifecycle management of our AFCO-branded product portfolio. This is a highly visible role that blends product development, market research, cross-functional leadership, and hands-on project management. This position will report to the VP of Sales and Marketing. About the Role As a Product Manager at AFCO, you will serve as the primary expert on all AFCO-branded products and play a central role in both new product development and the ongoing evolution of existing lines. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing to ensure products are competitive, profitable, compliant, and aligned with market needs. Key Responsibilities • Act as the primary product knowledge resource for all existing AFCO-branded products • Lead and coordinate new product development efforts from concept through launch • Conduct market research to validate new product opportunities and forecast profitability • Prepare all documentation required for new product justification, including market analysis, launch requirements, sales forecasts, and expenditure authorizations • Manage project schedules and budgets for approved new product initiatives • Oversee product line expansions and lifecycle updates for existing products • Support Sales and Marketing through product presentations and field engagement • Serve as the authority on code compliance requirements for AFCO products, overseeing testing and certification • Approve changes to existing product components • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering to evaluate product feasibility, production considerations, and design requirements Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, or a related business discipline (required) • Minimum of three years of experience in product management or product marketing (required) • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and sales representatives • Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, understanding tolerances, and assessing production feasibility • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills • Efficiency in all Microsoft Office products Compensation and Benefits AFCO Columns and Railing offers a competitive and rewarding compensation package designed to attract high-performing sales leaders: • Competitive base salary • Bonus and commission structure based on product launch targets • Full medical, vision, and dental insurance benefits • Company-matched 401(k) Working Requirements and Conditions While the ideal candidate would be located at one of AFCO’s manufacturing facilities, remote candidates will be considered for this role. Job requirements will demand regular involvement in product development activities at AFCO’s facilities; particularly in Alexandria, LA and Olive Branch, MS. Travel to these facilities, as well as travel in the field working with sales personnel, would be approximately 30% of the time. Physical demands may include moderate lifting, climbing, walking, and interaction with machinery or manufacturing environments.
