Description: The Group Vice President, reporting to the North American Business Unit President. Activities and responsibilities of the Group Vice President include: • Responsible for the financial & commercial performance of the $80M division (P&L) • Provide leadership and executive oversight to divisional sales management for all commercial/customer facing interactions • Provide oversight of all branch management personnel in support of both large customer VMI Programs and transactional customers by maintaining best in class service levels across the division • Accountable for to coordinating divisional and corporate resources to support divisional growth initiatives • Train and support team members in problem solving, root cause analysis, and corrective action techniques • Provide mentoring, development, and support for all staff members including 11 direct reports • Other duties as assigned Professional Experience: Education • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (Business Management / Finance preferred) • MBA preferred Work Experience • Minimum of five (5) years of general management experience in the fastener industry or a similar high volume distribution environment • Ability to read and understand financial documents (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, etc.) • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other Business tools. (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, BI, etc.) • Strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills and the ability to effectively interact at all levels of customer, supplier, and company organizations Professional Skills: The success of the Group Vice President will be evaluated on the basis of the following skills: JOB KNOWLEDGE Understands all phases of work and related matters APPLICATION Uses their job knowledge appropriately in both familiar and new circumstances WORK QUANTITY Produces expected volume WORK ACCURACY Produces work that is thorough and accurate with appropriate follow up COMMUNICATION Ability to understand and convey information effectively ORGANIZATION & TIME MANAGEMENT Ability to manage time and to plan, flex & coordinate workload effectively LEADERSHIP Ability to direct the activity of others and/or to influence those around you appropriately, including delegating and developing employees where applicable INITIATIVE Originates or develops continuous improvement ideas. Takes steps to support continuous improvement efforts METHODOLOGY Ability to effectively select and use appropriate tools & systems to accomplish tasks ANALYSIS Ability to extract relevant information or conclusions from varied data PROBLEM SOLVING Ability to recognize potential problems, correctly identify actual problems, and to take the necessary steps to prevent or resolve the issue POLICIES & PROCEDURES Understands and adheres to company policies & procedures as appropriate Target Base Salary for this role is up to 225k. Bonus eligible.
