Job Title: Utility Worker Job Description The role of a Utility Worker involves performing various cleaning tasks within a food processing plant. Primary duties include using vacuums to clean facilities and products, shoveling piles, and other forms of physical labor. The mill consists of six floors, and workers will be assigned a specific floor or area to clean daily. Initially, all employees start as laborers/utility workers, but there is an opportunity to receive training in other positions. Responsibilities • Clean assigned floors or areas within the facility daily. • Utilize vacuums and other equipment to maintain cleanliness. • Shovel piles of product and perform other physical labor tasks. • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Essential Skills • At least 1 year of experience in general or physical labor. • Ability to lift at least 75 pounds continuously. • Proficiency in English. Additional Skills & Qualifications • 1+ year of manufacturing janitorial work preferred. • Experience in loading and packaging is beneficial. • Spanish language skills are preferred. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a facility with no air conditioning, requiring comfort with heights and the ability to work in a hot, dirty, and physically demanding environment. The position involves a first shift schedule from 6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday. It offers a temporary or long-term opportunity depending on performance. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.69 - $23.69/hr.
