Immediate Hiring: General Maintenance – PSNS-RB-Shop 99 (Red Badge) Pay: $22/hour Location: Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS), Shop 99 Clearance Required: Secret Security Clearance (Red Badge) - THIS IS REQUIRED Start Date: As soon as possible About the Role We are hiring for a temporary General Maintenance position at PSNS-RB-Shop 99. This role supports essential shipyard operations through a variety of hands-on tasks. Responsibilities include sweeping, debris removal, manual paint stripping, and transporting furniture, equipment, and materials. You will also relocate and temporarily secure air hoses, electrical cables, and flexible ventilation overhead. Additional duties involve loading and unloading food stores and palletized materials between ship and shore. Key Responsibilities • Assist skilled trade workers with positioning pipes, structural components, and equipment • Provide tools and materials to support trade operations • Install fastening hardware including nuts, bolts, and washers • Operate hand tools such as wrenches for basic trade tasks • Support dry dock cleaning and bilge pumping systems (non-hazardous) • Clean interior tanks, bilges, and voids (non-hazardous) Required Skills and Qualifications • Proficiency with hand tools • Experience using power tools • currently hold a Secret Security Clearance (Red Badge) • Background in general labor or maintenance support Additional Qualifications • Must have an active Secret Security Clearance • Company assistance provided throughout the clearance process Why Join Us Become part of a dynamic team that values reliability, teamwork, and skill development. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Bremerton, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
