Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic About the Role We are a leading manufacturing company seeking a talented Maintenance Mechanic to keep our production equipment running at peak performance. This role is critical to ensuring smooth operations, minimizing downtime, and supporting the installation of new equipment in our state-of-the-art facility. Key Responsibilities • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CNC machines, EDMs, lathes, Swiss machines, water jets, robotic systems, presses, and other production equipment. • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-related issues. • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics to execute accurate repairs and installations. • Conduct routine inspections and maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities. • Support approximately 10 new equipment installations each year. • Safely operate forklifts and lifting equipment. • Partner with production and engineering teams to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency. • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols during maintenance and installation tasks. Required Skills & Experience • Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance experience, specifically with CNC machines. • Strong proficiency in electrical maintenance, including blueprint and schematic interpretation. Preferred Qualifications • Technical degree or equivalent training. • Experience working independently in an industrial maintenance role. Work Environment • Shift: 3rd shift, Sunday night to Thursday morning (11PM–7AM). • Training: Initial training on 1st shift, Monday to Friday (7AM–3PM) for 8–12 weeks. • Facility: Large-scale operation with 500 employees. The 1st shift has 15 maintenance team members, while the 3rd shift offers independence with no other maintenance staff present. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $37.80 - $44.23/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
