Job Title: Machine Operator Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join our team, offering an amazing shift structure with built-in overtime. Enjoy a 3-day weekend every week while working in a dynamic environment. This is a 3rd shift position that operates Monday through Thursday from 6PM-6AM. The pay is $20.00/h with the potential for Friday OT. Responsibilities • Review work orders, product specifications, and special instructions to understand production requirements thoroughly. • Assist in loading and setting up machines according to instructions. • Follow specifications to mix chemical/adhesive solutions and safely pump them into the machine. • Monitor the production process closely to quickly identify any quality issues and stop production if problems are detected. • Operate up to two machines competently and assist in operating additional machines as needed. • Follow all instructions from machine operator II or the production manager, asking questions when necessary. • Identify all finished products with accurate part numbers, work order numbers, lot numbers, and other required information. • Identify equipment problems and inform maintenance or the production manager. • Make suggestions to improve quality, efficiency, safety, or communication. • Verify that the final product meets quality standards and product specifications. • Follow all safety practices, immediately correct or report unsafe conditions, and maintain a clean and orderly work area. • Perform other duties as assigned by the department supervisor. Essential Skills • 2 years of machine operating experience • 2 years of manufacturing experience • Ability to read and write English • Ability to follow written work instructions • Ability to lift 50 lbs Additional Skills & Qualifications • Manual set up experience • Experience with machine adjustments and troubleshooting Why Work Here? Work Environment Our facility specializes in making coatings and adhesives, producing products like non-slip walkways and skateboard friction tape. Located in Lake Bluff, the environment involves working with large machines and handling strong chemical smells due to the nature of our adhesive manufacturing. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of LAKE BLUFF, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
